It's not every day you see a luxury home hit the market for over $30 million with a sleek two-story concrete waterslide fixed to the pool, but that's Miami Beach in a nutshell. Featured in the Wall Street Journal, this jolly spec home located between Pine Tree Drive and Indian Creek Canal with the waterslide and "a basketball building" is asking $34 million, with Barry Brodsky of Brodson Construction as the developer.

The water slide, which is about 20 feet high, extends from the second floor of the home to the swimming pool. Mr. Brodsky admits he was cautioned the water slide could turn off some buyers, but he decided to proceed because "who doesn't like to go on a water slide?" Moreover, the team designed the slide to be "like an architectural sculpture," he said, crafting it out of concrete. "It's not plastic." Mick Duchon of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who is listing the home with colleague Eloy Carmenate, added that a staircase conceals the water slide from view from inside the house.
Dubbed Pine Tree South, 'the interior space is a serene, harmonious environment of continuous, fluid finishes to surfaces, creating a sense of respite from the pace of life in the city ," reads the description on the house'swebsite.
Brodsky tells WSJ he bought the lot for about $11.5 million in 2014 and is building an additional house on it as well.
