Bacardi-owned Coral Gables manse lists for $27M

via Douglas Elliman
A newly built Mediterranean mansion in Coral Gables owned by a member of the Bacardi family just hit the market asking $27.26 million, per the Wall Street Journal:
The house went on the market in 2014, before it was completed, for $18 million with another firm, and was taken off the market after failing to sell. "A house is a hard sell when it’s not completely finished," said Barbara Estela of Douglas Elliman Real Estate, who has the listing with colleagues Ysha Arteaga and Hilda Jacobson. The house was completed in May after taking about 8 years to build.
Owned by Hilda Maria Bacardi, great great granddaughter of Bacardi founder Facundo Bacardí Massó, the mammoth 21,042-square-foot estate has 13 bedrooms, 15 bathrooms, and three kitchens, per the listing, with 400 feet of waterfront, an elevator, and a two-bedroom guest house.
It’s the second priciest home in the Gables behind 1 Casuarina Concourse, currently listed at $39 million.

The upcoming Turnberry Ocean Club in Sunny Isles has already announced some high-end amenities in the form of its $100 million Sky Club, which will feature a sky theater, hydrotherapy spas, pool bars, yoga and pilates studio, salon, sunset lounge, and outdoor pet retreat, among other things.
Their latest addition is a wild one and gives a true sense of its target clientele: primary access to Fontainebleau Aviation Luxe Facility at the Opa-Locka Executive Airport, according to Miami Luxury Homes. This will entail "priority access and services, access to aircraft maintenance, aircraft detailing, full-service concierge on site to accommodate all catering and transportation needs and discounted fuel services and aircraft parking rates."
That facility is currently undergoing expansion.
MLH also reports the uber-luxury development is 40 percent sold and scheduled to break ground in the final quarter of 2016, with an estimated completion time for late 2019.

The 174-foot "Mizu" is docked outside the Epic Hotel in Downtown Miami, outfitted with a sweet basketball hoop on the stern.
The luxury yacht that could be mistaken for a mini-destroyer was originally named "Sea Bowld" before a recent refitting in South Florida this year, according to the Advantaged:
Part of the refit involved a new Jacuzzi tub on the fly-bridge, with space for 9 to 11 people. It also encompassed all interior trimmings; sofas, walls, bedding, and floor coverings.
The owner describes the new paint as "a Ferrari pearlescent white" with a grey superstructure to add mystery.
Back in 2011, the yacht was being offered at $9.4 million but that was before the refitting.

And here’s some video footage of the basketball hoop being put to good use followed by a crazy person jumping off the top deck.
