Located at 709 Alton Road will be the future home of Baptist Health South Florida, anchoring a 165,000-square-foot low-rise commercial development.
Developed by Crescent Heights and designed Perkins+Will Miami -- both of whom are also behind the recently announced 1212 Lincoln Road — the design plan encourages "community health and wellness through pedestrian-friendly paths and shaded roof terraces and gardens for its visitors," per a spokesperson for the project.
The design shows a 200-foot transparent façade with an "interior mainstreet," a shaded rooftop terrace and garden, and parking entrance on the northern edge of the project. The design of the development is especially important considering it’s essentially the fist thing people will see upon exiting the McArthur Causeway while heading north along Alton Road.
Crescent Heights is heavily invested in Alton road, as they’re also developing a mixed-use project across the street.
