Bal Harbour Shops Expansion Refined, Detailed in New Renders
Bal Harbour Shops has released new renderings of the mall's planned expansion, which would include a land swap with the Village of Bal Harbour that still has to be approved by voters, a new mall entrance, more generous public amenities, new boutiques, expansions to both existing department stores, and the addition of a Barneys New York. The Village Hall is no longer being relocated, but the Church by the Sea's land is still part of the deal (update below). Overall, the renderings give a much more detailed look at Bernard Zyscovich's design for the project, and make earlier renderings look like barn-sized shoeboxes covered in mountains of greenery.
UPDATE: Although current plans submitted show Village Hall remaining, negotiations for its replacement in a new location are still ongoing.
