A South Florida venetian mansion measuring 17,279 square feet—the biggest home for sale in Jupiter—just listed for $12.5 million.
The five-bedroom, 13-bathroom estate is the third priciest residence on the market in Jupiter and sits on two acres within The Bear's Club.
It’s owned by businessman Dan Colussy, the former CEO of Iridium Satellite who purchased the satellite phone carrier company for $25 million in 2000 before selling it for $591 million about eight years later.
The 2009 build features custom-designed and hand-painted murals on all ceilings with polished marble and wood flooring throughout. There’s an extravagant library with a gas fireplace, built-in walnut bookshelves, and a custom three-domed painted ceiling. The 2,300-square-foot master suite is equipped with a sitting area, morning kitchen, gas fireplace, his and hers separate dressing rooms and baths, and a private balcony overlooking the manicured gardens.
Additional details include a secluded meditation area; three private en-suite guest bedrooms with morning kitchens, sitting areas, and private balconies; a music room and gallery; gym; and massage rooms.

In the backyard is an expansive loggia with screen protection and a 37,000-gallon edgeless pool that’s an “exact replica of a pool at an Italian villa including the Pergola rising behind it which shelters the Jacuzzi and sitting areas,” per the listing.
Let us not forget the raised garden bed that produces vegetables and herbs, in addition to the fruit trees comprised of citrus, mango, avocado, papaya, fig, banana, plantain, and coconut.
The magnificent property was acquired by Colussy in 2003 for $2.1 million.
