One buyer recently purchased two South Florida mansions—located in Manalapan and Fort Lauderdale—for a total of $25.3 million.
The former, located at 3090 South Ocean Boulevard, is a seven-bedroom home measuring over 15,000 square feet that sold for $13.5 million. The Mediterranean beauty features 150 feet of ocean frontage and 150 feet of frontage along the Intracoastal. Other details include private yacht dockage, a private beach on the west side, fitness center, wine cellar, and a home theater. It was asking as much as $19.95 million in 2012.
The Fort Lauderdale residence at 2900 Northeast 37th Street measures a whopping 23,859 square feet. It includes nine bedrooms, 17 bathrooms, and a surreal 640 feet of water frontage. There’s also a sensational backyard entertaining area with a swim-up bar, outdoor kitchen, water slide, waterfall, and grotto. It was asking as much as $22 million in 2012 but sold for $11.8 million, which is still the priciest sale for an Intracoastal home in the area in the last three years.
Douglas Elliman’s Steven Solomon represented the buyer in both transactions as well as the seller in the Fort Lauderdale sale. Gary Pohrer and Michael Costello repped the seller of the Manalapan manse.
