Miamians really do live in the fast lane, even when it comes to buying and selling their homes.
According to a recent study crunched by Owners.com, 59 percent of Miami home sellers say that getting their asking price is most important, compared to 74 percent of all Americans. Also 28 percent of Miamians would only be willing to keep their home on the market for up to three months, versus 17 percent nationwide.
The study took place between December of 2015 and January of 2016.
Another interesting stat: Magic City sellers are more likely to factor in the personality of their buyers -- 35 percent of Miamians say they would be either somewhat likely or very likely to decline an offer if they didn't like the buyer or the buyer's agent -- this is compared to 23 percent of all Americans.
Other findings:
- Miami buyers are significantly less patient when it comes to searching for homes -- a real shocker (looking at you, Mr. Honk-the-Millisecond-the-Light-Turns-Green Guy. Miamians also double Americans overall in their willingness to spend up to three months finding the right home.
- Miamians are more likely to be influenced by the power of celebritywhen buying, with 19 percent saying they'd move to a neighborhood they didn't like just because a celebrity lived there (12 percent nationwide).
