That Miami Beach spec home with the 43-foot concrete water slide that listed in January 2016 sold for $22.5 million recently ($1,672 a foot), representing a discount of 34 percent from its original asking price of $34 million.
The sale still represents the priciest single-family home purchase in Miami Beach over the last two years.
Dubbed Pine Tree South, the 19,000-square-foot waterfront home sits on an acre and features a contemporary design with six bedrooms, nine bathrooms, 100 feet of water frontage, and a custom superyacht dock. There’s also a separate building with a half basketball court, which can double as a theater, gym, or gallery.
The fun house was listed by Eloy Carmenate and Mick Duchon of Douglas Elliman. Oren and Tal Alexander, also of Douglas Elliman, represented the buyers.
"Aside from the beautiful interiors, standout exterior elements of the home include stunning views of the Atlantic Ocean and landscape design by Raymond Jungles in collaboration with the SAOTA, it is a contemporary mega-manse located in the most prestigious neighborhood of Miami Beach,” Duchon said.
“We diligently scoured the market for the past six months focusing on finding our buyer the most comfortable, family-friendly home and then securing the best deal possible. 4555 Pine Tree Drive provides great value at this price and allows room for appreciation,” added Alexander.
The ultimate entertainment home was developed by Brodson Construction and designed by SAOTA architects, with interiors aided by Nils Sanderson, formally of Herzog & de Meuron. The landscaping was designed by Raymond Jungles.
