Don Peeble's super high-end boutique residential project, the
Bath Club Estates, is aiming its penthouse at the absolute tippy tippy top of the South Florida condominium market: the
$50 million penthouse.
It hopes to be among the likes of the penthouses at
Zaha Hadid's One Thousand Museum (complete with indoor pool, space-age design bragging rights, and a rooftop helipad, all for $45 million), the
Mansions at Acqualina (pool hanging off the side of the building, square footage galore, and in the middle of Sunny Isles, the Russian Riviera, for $50 million), and
finally the Faena House (a penultimate roost designed by Norman Foster above a fantastical district of art, starchitect-designed buildings, edenic gardens, and luxury, for $50 million).
With only one of that pantheon under contract, the Faena penthouse, and the others still up for grabs, the Bath Club Estates penthouse has a lot to keep up with. Will the unit, 18 floors up, with 9,000 indoor square feet, and another 9,000 outdoor, generous living spaces, and a pool, atop an Arquitectonica-designed building in North Beach, make it? Whatever happens, at least it might get some airtime. It's co-listed, along with the rest of the building, by Million Dollar Listing Miami cast member Chris Leavitt and real estate enfant terrible Oren Alexander (both of Douglas Elliman).
