In what’s becoming a theme for downtown Miami, another mixed-use residential building was approved without parking.
Yotel received the final go-ahead from Miami’s Planning & Zoning Department, notes The Next Miami, which clears the way for the 29-story tower comprised of 225 micro-sized hotel rooms and 188 apartments to rise at 235 Northeast 2nd Street, which is just west of Vizcayne, an 849-unit development that was completed in 2009.
Another downtown Miami residential building, Centro, was recently built without parking a few blocks away. Moishe Mana is also planning a downtown Miami rental project without parking at 200 North Miami Avenue.
Developed by Kuwait Real Estate Company Aqarat and Aria Development Group, a 10-story garage was in the initial proposal but wasn’t approved. The architect is Stantec.
Among Yotel’s current hotel locations are New York, Boston, and London.
